DEEN then

Sir Deen sr. opened his first grocery store in 1933, with which he set the base for the current supermarkets. The first self-service store from DEEN Supermarkets opened on the Koepoortsweg in Hoorn in 1953. With text like “At DEEN quality is nr. 1” and “DEEN, beneficial like no other” the first official supermarket quickly became a success. Currently the company has grown to far outside the borders of Hoorn, with 82 stores in Noord-Holland, Flevoland, Gelderland and Utrecht.

DEEB Supermarkets, the trusted supermarket from and for everyone. Originated from a West-Frysian familiebedrijf is DEEN still the supermarket for everyone that is known for its delicious and (fresh)products with a clear and fair price. With a nice atmosphere, friendly personnel, service and our local involvement, shopping at DEEN is a daily adventure.

Doing groceries at DEEN has to be festive, because we always want to exceed the expectation of our customers through our involvement and the right attitude, offering inspiration and the nice atmosphere in the store. We help the customer the same way we would like to be helped ourselves. Happy at DEEN is how we call that!

Involvement in the neighbourhood

The management is the contact for the local residents, is up-to-date of what is happening in the neighborhood and actively participates. DEEN is an important meeting place for local residents.  

Clear and fair

DEEN uses mostly round prices and clear discounts such as 50% off or second item free. Besides that the assortment of biological products is continuously expanded and we actively promote the use of Fairtrade products.

Surprisingly delicious and full of inspiration

Due to the own production-companies, talentful category manager and certified fresh chefs in the store, you will find unique fresh products and grocery wear in the store cannot be found anywhere else.
