Dela was founded on 11 March 1937 in Eindhoven. The foundation of the funeral association ‘Draagt Elkanders Lasten’ ended the unfair habit of burying people with an open class distinction.
Corporation DELA
Our founders were convinced that this could and should be different. The principles were – besides solidarity – the connection between people and the care they have for each other. In 1942 the founders felt strong enough to turn the association into a corporation: an organization without profit in mind, where the members, literally and figuratively, stood up for each other. DELA is a cooperative company that focuses on the continuity of life. It is our ambition that our customers face the future as carefree as possible.
